Who We Serve

We serve undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and who meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • neither parent graduated from a four-year college;
  • qualifyÌýas low-income under federal income guidelines;
  • haveÌýa documented disability on file with CU's Office of Disability Services.

In addition to the above criteria, we also serve students who:

  • haveÌýfoster youth, unaccompanied, and/or independent status;
  • ²¹°ù±ðÌý³ó´Ç³¾±ð±ô±ð²õ²õ;
  • Military veterans.

How to Apply to the Program

Students must apply and meet eligibility requirements to participate.Ìý All applications will also be reviewed for eligibility for theÌý. Applications are reviewed year-round on a space available basis.

Income Verification

  • Parent’s  most recent Federal Income Tax Return.ÌýFor example, if you are applying for participation beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year,Ìýplease submit the 2022 Federal Income Tax Return.ÌýIf you are an independent student, send a copy of your 2022 Federal Income Tax return.Ìý

  • 2022-2023 FAFSA.ÌýPlease sign and date the FAFSA before sending.Ìý

Summer Programming

We accept a limited number of students each year to our Summer Ready cohort to provide a more personalized experience.Ìý Those who are not accepted into Summer Ready will be considered for our Fall Gateway program, a 2 -day academic intensive program the week prior to the start of fall semester.
