Current Graduate Students

The Colorado Diversity Initiative offers professional development, mentoring and financial support opportunities to underserved current graduate students in science, math, and engineering. Through the initiative, we foster a community of current graduate student peers, and offer them the opportunity to meet, socialize and share their experiences.

CDIÌýoffersÌýopportunities for current grad students to mentor the next generation of STEM scholars through ourÌýSMART ProgramÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýColorado Advantage Program.ÌýWe are also affiliated with STEM Routes, a graduate student-led organization that offers mentoring and community. In addtion, is an independent organization composed of postdocs and graduate students thatÌýinvites underrepresented scholars to campus to give discipline-specific colloquia and also to provide career development and inspirational talks.

Join 'Boulder Black Blossoms,' a Sista Circle dedicated to overcoming barriers and fostering success for Black women in STEM at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ. Engage in mentorship, workshops, and community activities that enhance your self-efficacy and resilience. Share your expertise and insights as a STEM graduate student at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ with potential graduate students by helping them navigate their path and understanding of full graduate process. Colorado Advantage is a Ph.D preview program that gives current non ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ undergrads a leg up in the applications process by organizing one-on-one meetings with STEM faculty.Ìý

CDI works with multiple departments and community members to provide small pre-college outreach engagements.Ìý Additionally, the office works to engage the community in activism to break barrers related to STEM understanding and access. Become a volunteer with us today.Ìý

Participate in our Hidden Curriculum Workshops to uncover essential, unspoken academic norms and expectations related to being us and a Grad student in a STEM field at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ.Ìý Sessions are small group & specificly for our CDI fellows.
