The REEES Short Stories Reading Group meets once a month during the regular academic year to discuss works of short fiction by Russian authors of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. Occasionally the group has taken on a work of more significant length—Tolstoy's War and Peace in 2012-13 and Anna Karenina in 2014-15. The group is a diverse one, made up of current and former students (both Russian and non-Russian majors), and interested members of the Boulder community. The meetings are informal and fun—no knowledge of Russian or previous experience with REEES literature is required; all texts are provided to participants via e-mail attachments. All are welcome!
