CNAIS hosts a number of events each year that build community on our campus and feature current work in Indigenous studies and related fields at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ and beyond.ÌýOur annual CNAIS Speaker SeriesÌýtypically centers on a theme each yearÌýand invites notable scholars, filmmakers, and artists to ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ to present their work. Our regular Brown Bag Series featuresÌýCNAIS faculty and affiliates at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ, as well as local and regional guestsÌýwho work with Indigenous communities. The NAIS Graduate Student ConferenceÌýhighlights the work of students taking our capstone Graduate Certificate course, Indigenous Thought and Theory (ETHN 6103). Our fall Native Student Welcome and Native Graduation events provide opportunities toÌýcelebrate our students and build community across the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ campus.ÌýAdditionally, CNAIS co-sponsors numerous other events that highlight and support Native American and Indigenous culture and research at CU.
