The Best Should Teach Awards honor University of Colorado Boulder faculty, graduate teachers,听and听K-12 teachers听at the 蜜桃传媒破解版下载 Best Should Teach Ceremony,听co-sponsored by听the听Center for Teaching & Learning, Graduate School, College of Arts and Sciences,听and School of Education. Student nominations are a key听consideration of the selection process, so the听Best Should Teach听selection committee听of past honorees听seeks student听nominations听for outstanding full-time faculty and senior instructors听from all听colleges and schools across campus.听
The听Best Should Teach initiative听was launched by the late lifelong educator Lindley Stiles and his wife Marguerite Stiles, who established the initiative in 1996. Stiles鈥� inspiring motto is inscribed on the archway near the Hellems Building:听鈥淭o those who come, I leave the flame! Hold it as high as you can reach. If a better world is your aim, all must agree: The Best Should Teach.鈥�
Nominations for the 2022听Best Should Teach faculty awards听are due Friday, April 29, 2022. Student nominators听are asked to answer two听questions about their inspiring听nominees:听
- Describe how the faculty member's teaching has impacted your听learning, growth, and overall听experience at 蜜桃传媒破解版下载.听
- In your own words, describe听how the nominated faculty member听exemplifies the Best Should Teach motto.
Best Should Teach candidates must have:
- Demonstrated educational leadership through contributions to improving college teaching on the Boulder campus听and/or through work to improve teaching in primary and secondary education,
- Shown a sustained high level of involvement in pedagogical innovation and development听and successful and productive mentoring of undergraduates and graduate students,
- Contributed their time to programs that support the improvement of teaching and academic professional development at all levels, and
- Not be honored with a Best Should Teach Award in previous years (view past awardees here).听
All full-time faculty (tenured and tenure-track faculty, and senior instructors) are eligible.
Best Should Teach Awardees听receive a Best Should Teach certificate endorsed by the College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Education and听the Center for Teaching & Learning.听听
