An independent study is a collaboration between a student and a faculty member on a special project that provides the student with a learning experience. An independent study may also fill an academic need of importance to the student that cannot be filled by regular course offerings. The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ BMES chapter, founded in February 2012, aims to introduce members to the profession of Biomedical Engineering. Student membersÌýare provided with up-to-date knowledge of tools and techniques used in industry, opportunities to grow as leaders, and plenty of networking, outreach, and volunteering events.ÌýBMES generally meets every week to every other week, and regularly hosts guest speakers and panels. Our guest speakers come from a variety of backgrounds and often bring valuable insight onÌýsucceedingÌýin Biomedical Engineering.
