Jacob Van Ek Scholars Award
The Jacob Van Ek Scholars Award, one of the College of Arts & Sciences’ highest honors, is awarded each spring to select undergraduates in the college. The award recognizes superior academic achievement and outstanding contributions to ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ and the surrounding community through service, work and/or volunteering.
To be eligible for the award, students must:
- Have a declared major in the College of Arts & Sciences
- Have a cumulative CU GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Not have won the award previously
- Be nominated by a CU faculty member
Faculty nominators will contact the student to begin the nomination process. If a student feels they are a strong contender, they should reach out to a faculty member who may nominate them. All undergraduate students are eligible although juniors and seniors will be given stronger consideration.
