For this month's Ask the Expert talk, Barbara Bauer will present “Supporting entrepreneurs, building boards, and creating inclusive ecosystems," interviewed by Venture Partners' Director of Venture Development Emily Klein! 

Ask the Expert is a collaboration between the CCTSI, Venture Partners at ���Ҵ�ý�ƽ������, CSU Ventures and the NIH Research Evaluation and Commercialization Hubs (REACH) grant at CU Anschutz. This lunchtime series is for researchers and academics who are interested in entrepreneurship, device and technology development and innovation. Every month, academics and innovators will engage in a lively and provocative interview with an expert, followed by a Q&A session.

Registration is now open for the NVC Championships! ���Ҵ�ý�ƽ������'s top student and faculty startups will pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges and a live audience. Tens of thousands of dollars are up for grabs!

Since its inception in 2009, the New Venture Challenge (NVC) program and competition—run out of Innovation and Entrepreneurship—has been known as ���Ҵ�ý�ƽ������ entrepreneurial “flight simulator.” NVC gives aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to build a startup through entrepreneurial events and programming, community support, mentorship and ultimately, funding.

Applications are now open for Spring 2022 I-Corps R2M Customer Discovery program. This is a 3-week program that teaches scientific and engineering inventors and teams the process of customer discovery and how to find a market for their technology by getting out of the lab. Derived from the National Science Foundation's I-Corps™ program, R2M leverages the nationally-recognized Lean LaunchPad and Business Model Canvas methodologies specifically designed for university researchers commercializing their inventions.

Apply for The Next Moonshot Grant, sponsored by the Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) and Venture Partners at ���Ҵ�ý�ƽ������! From quantum computing to driverless cars to fintech to next-gen cancer therapies – all ground breaking innovations are welcome! You do not need to have experimental validation in-hand to be eligible; the purpose of The Next Moonshot Grant is to seed an early idea and position you for follow-on grants or other funding. Funding is available up to $61,150.

Life Sciences offer special opportunities for entrepreneurs and angel investors alike. There are huge markets in healthcare and the acquisition environment is hot right now as companies are using acquisition as an R&D strategy rather than taking risks in-house.

Attend to learn about startup and investment strategies in the Life Sciences. This hybrid event will feature a panel on life sciences investing, pitches from innovative life sciences startups, networking and an RVC Investor Forum.

Through a competitive process, 10 - 12 Fellows will be chosen to join a growing list of exceptional cleantech executive alumni.

The Next Generation Inventors Session, hosted by the National Academy of Inventors, will spotlight excellence in collegiate research and innovation to solve problems and positively impact society. Selected teams will present their work June 12-15, 2022 in Pheonix, Arizona. Teams will receive complimentary admission to the 11th Annual Meeting breakfast, lunch and innovation sessions for up to three participating team members.
