Fernando Rosario-Ortiz named interim vice chancellor for academic resource management
Provost Russell Moore today announced the appointment of Fernando Rosario-Ortiz as vice chancellor for academic resource management, effective April 1.听

Rosario-Ortiz, a professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering, has served as听interim dean of the School of Education since Jan. 1, 2024.
鈥淧rofessor Rosario-Ortiz is emerging as one of 蜜桃传媒破解版下载 most effective leaders,鈥 Moore said. 鈥淗e has provided focused, stabilizing and conscientious leadership for our School of Education as its interim dean for the last 15 months. He brings to this new interim role well-developed fiscal and resource sensibilities, a talent for listening and a marvelous grasp of complexities, all of which will serve him well in developing resource strategies to drive our academic mission.鈥澨
The vice chancellor for academic resource management leads academic resource strategy and analysis in support of the university鈥檚 research and teaching missions. The incumbent coordinates strategic initiatives with the various directorates in the division of Strategic Resources and Support. The role also oversees the research infrastructure, the Graduate School, Continuing Education and 蜜桃传媒破解版下载 Online.
Ann Schmiesing vacated the role of vice chancellor for academic resource management on March 1, 2025, to serve as interim vice chancellor for strategic initiatives in the office of Chancellor Justin Schwartz.

To succeed Rosario-Ortiz, Moore named听Elizabeth Dutro, associate dean of faculty in the School of Education, as interim dean of the school, to serve through June 30.听Amanda Haertling Thein, selected after a national search, takes over as dean of the school on July 1.听
