Halloween is right around the corner, and this week brings 鈥渁 bunch of Hocus Pocus.鈥 Join the ATLAS Center鈥檚 annual festival, a Halloween cycling class, a talk on feelings about climate change, The Power of Laughter, cookie decorating, scary movies and more.

During this presentation, a speaker will grapple with questions posed by climate issues in today鈥檚 world. The event provides a unifying framework with a variety of disciplines, topics, sectors and regions represented.

The uncertainty of climate change has caused many people to feel a range of emotions and reactions. Join to discuss your feelings on the subject.

Laughter can be the best medicine. This information session will cover all the powerful aspects laughter has to offer. For example, it can reduce stress, boost the immune system and enhance brain chemistry.

7:30 p.m. Muenzinger Auditorium (E050)
is celebrating haunted cinema every day Oct. 25鈥31. This Wednesday, features 鈥淭remors鈥 starring Kevin Bacon and Burt Ward. The main characters face terrifying worm-like creatures in their journey through Perfection, Nevada, a remote desert town.

It鈥檚 time for the annual 鈥淗ill鈥漮ween event at University Hill. There will be a movie, costume contest, pumpkin carving and free food.

Wear a costume to the climbing gym this Friday for a scary climbing event! There will be treats and tricky partner climbs.

Hocus Pocus is a Halloween classic. The 1993 film follows a trio of witches who are resurrected by a teenage boy.


Saturday, Oct. 28

This festival is for experimental games and interactions. There will be a variety of talks, workshops, weird games, alternative interfaces and more.

5:30 p.m. The Connection
Watch the Colorado Buffaloes take on the UCLA Bruins this Saturday at The Connection. Sko Buffs! Free pizza available (don鈥檛 forget your Buff OneCard).
