A national search for the university鈥檚 next vice chancellor and chief financial officer is underway, with the goal of identifying a final candidate by September.
Ann Schmiesing, executive vice provost for academic resource management, is chairing the CFO search committee, whose membership includes representation from shared governance, administrative support units and school/college leadership.听
The CFO plays the central role in shaping the campus鈥檚 fiscal resilience and ensuring that its financial resources are aligned with the university鈥檚 mission and strategic priorities, said COO Patrick O鈥橰ourke, to whom the CFO reports.

Vice Chancellor and CFO Carla Ho鈥檃 announced her retirement in early February after more than 30 years of service to CU, and her retirement will be effective in November. Starting the search this spring will enable her to have sufficient time to transition these critical responsibilities to her successor.
