Evening of poetry, storytelling Feb. 25 wraps up #BeTheChange challenge

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Black History Month Racial Equity #BeTheChange Challenge. Please join in for an evening of poetry and storytelling to celebrate the end of the #BeTheChange challenge at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25.

This month-long challenge brought together over 500 participants including students, staff, faculty and members of the community. Guest speakers will be Boulder-based poet and healer Norma Johnson; Denver visual artist Adri Norris; and violinist and producer from Denver, Jeff Hughes.

Norma Johnson uses poetry, storytelling and theater, including her collection Poems for my White Friends, to address racial justice issues in educational and community settings. 

Adri Norris as an artist and activist whose art series and project, Women Behaving Badly, showcases influential women from history. 

Jeff Hughes is a classically trained cross-genre violinist and producer who led the violin choir at Elijah McClain's vigil this summer.
