The new center, housed within Human Resources, aims to centralize information and resources about campus events and opportunities to participate in contemplative practices. The center seeks to integrate secular contemplative practices into how teaching, working and living happens at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ.
What are contemplative practices?
Contemplative practices vary and emerge from diverse traditions. In general, the practices cultivate self-awareness and the development of mental and physical steadiness and balance. Practitioners tend to find that contemplative practices provide opportunities for reducing stress, increasing self-compassion and compassion for others, and opening up opportunities for greater creativity and vitality.
