Human-centered AI systems prioritize human needs, values, expectations and experiences, aiming for equitable and ethical outcomes. In disaster and emergency management, this includes increased representation of data from marginalized groups and communication strategies that resonate with at-risk communities.

From featured presenter Dr. Anu Taranath to campus initiatives exhibits, this year’s summit served as a pivotal gathering for bringing people together to explore solutions, forge partnerships and celebrate achievements in ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ climate and sustainability initiatives.

The four selected projects seek to better understand and address some of society’s most pressing challenges by sparking the formation of diverse teams of research leaders and perspectives from colleges, departments and research institutes across campus.

The business forecast report published annually by the Business Research Division (BRD) at the Leeds School of Business represents the Colorado business landscape in its entirety—from small, family-owned restaurants and farms to global corporations and every venture between.

Now in its 16th year, the Research & Innovation Seed Grant program stimulates new and exciting areas of research and creative work on campus. Professor Scott Diddams (Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering) and his research team have introduced a new approach to generating microwave signals that leverages light and integrated photonics to enable new capabilities in communications, navigation and sensing.

After working eight years on a new way to attack some cancers using a synthetic small molecule called SVC112, Tin Tin Su of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ and Antonio Jimeno of the CU School of Medicine say acceleration-initiative funds will help speed a promising, developed-in-Colorado cancer therapy to patients.
