An undergraduate student with more than 100 total in-progress credit hours (including transfer credit)
A graduate student with more than 10 total in-progress credit hours (including transfer credit)
A third-year law student

Note: The last day for graduate and MBA students to submit or cancel a fall graduation application was Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Friday, Nov. 1

Law students: Last day to submit or cancel a fall graduation application (11:59 p.m.).

Sunday, Nov. 10

Graduate and MBA students: Last day to purchase master's or doctoral regalia online (11:59 p.m.).

Thursday, Dec. 12

Undergrads: Last day to submit or cancel a fall graduation application (11:59 p.m.).

Thursday, Dec. 19

Fall 2024 degrees are conferred. The university commencement ceremony occurs in May and fall graduates are invited to participate. Many colleges, schools, departments and programs also hold winter recognition ceremonies in December.

Undergrads may purchase undergraduate regalia from the CU Book Store in-store during store hours or online at any time.

On Monday, Sept. 16, we canceled (a.k.a., purged) the waitlists for Fall 2024 Main Campus Boulder full-semester (Session B) and Western Colorado (Session BWU) classes. Waitlists for Colorado Mesa (Session BMU) classes were canceled on Tuesday, Sept. 10 and waitlists for Boulder Law full-semester (Session BLW) classes were canceled on Friday, Sept. 13.

To request a snapshot of the students who were still on a class waitlist when it was canceled, please email cusisdev@colorado.edu. The report also includes students who were waitlisted for more than one section of a class or who were waitlisted for one section but enrolled in another.

As a reminder, students who remain on the waitlist through the cancellation date lose access to the class's online materials and no longer appear on the class roster; however, they may be eligible for course reservation the next time that course is offered.

We sent this email at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, to individuals who needed to receive a 1098-T tuition statement for 2023, didn't have an SSN or TIN on file, and didn't receive the October 2023 version of this email.

Dear [first],

You are required by federal law to provide a Social Security number (SSN) or Taxpayer Identification number (TIN) to ��Ҵ�ý�ƽ�� for tax purposes.*

If you fail to do so, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) may impose a financial penalty of $50 (26 CFR 1.6050S-1(e)).

Take Action by Friday, March 15

To resolve this issue, submit an SSN/TIN update form and a copy of your SSN or TIN card to the Office of the Registrar by mail or secure document upload by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024.

��Ҵ�ý�ƽ�� protects the confidentiality of personally identifiable information and will not disclose an SSN or TIN for any purpose not permitted by law or policy (including FERPA) without your consent.

*Federal Requirement

Section 6109 of the Internal Revenue Code requires you to provide your correct SSN or TIN so ��Ҵ�ý�ƽ�� can file Form 1098-T (Tuition Statement) with the IRS and provide a statement to you.

Your academic record has been carefully reviewed following the posting of grades for the Fall 2023 semester. You have not met the required 2.000 cumulative CU GPA minimum, therefore, you have been placed on academic suspension and a registration hold has been placed on your record.

Academic suspension is serious and we support your effort to improve your academic standing. Please review the options for reinstatement along with actionable next steps you can take below. For more information, view ��Ҵ�ý�ƽ�� academic standing requirements.

What Happens on Academic Suspension?

As a result of academic suspension, your current Spring 2024 courses will be dropped with the exception of enrollment in Evening Credit, Online Credit, and Applied Music classes offered through the Division of Continuing Education. Note that if you remain enrolled in Continuing Education courses you will need to maintain a 2.300 semester GPA or above for each enrolled semester in Continuing Education. You will not be eligible to enroll in Main Campus courses during the fall or spring semesters until you have completed the requirements for reinstatement after academic suspension through the options explained below, which includes earning the required 2.000 cumulative CU GPA minimum or returning through conditional enrollment.

As a reminder, a registration hold related to your academic suspension status has been placed on your record and your official transcript will show that you are on academic suspension.

In addition, federal regulations require students to make satisfactory academic progress in a program of study to be eligible for financial aid. For additional information, see the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy webpage.

Options for Reinstatement after Academic Suspension

Please consider the following options available to you for raising your cumulative GPA, and view ��Ҵ�ý�ƽ�� academic standing requirements for more detailed information.

Take courses offered through Continuing Education.
Take summer courses at any University of Colorado campus.
Take courses at another accredited college or university.
Take at least one calendar year off with no enrollment at any institution.

If you successfully completed your degree requirements this fall, congratulations! Here's what happens next.

Note: For doctoral (AuD, DMA and PhD) and SLHS-MA students, the last day to update your diploma name and address was Wednesday, Dec. 13 and transcripts with these degrees posted became available to order on Friday, Dec. 22.

Friday, Jan. 5

Last day for undergraduate and master's students to update your diploma name and address. If you don't enter a diploma address, we'll mail your diploma to your home address instead.

International delivery: We've been running into significant delays and complications with international delivery of diplomas and other documents. We strongly advise you to enter a local/domestic diploma address to ensure delivery to yourself or a trusted individual.

Friday, Jan. 19

Transcripts with undergraduate and master's degrees posted are available for order after 5 p.m. If you don't have a hold preventing the release of your transcript, you can order an official transcript online.

Transcripts with certificates posted are available for order after 5 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

Your complimentary certified electronic diploma is ready to download and your paper diploma is mailed out. Please allow four to six weeks for domestic delivery.

Diploma covers: Many academic departments and colleges distributed diploma covers during their 2023 Winter Recognition Ceremonies. If you still need one, you may pick one up at the Office of the Registrar during normal business hours free of charge.

Tuesday, Feb. 13

If you earned one, your complimentary certified electronic certificate is ready to download and your paper certificate is mailed out. Please allow four to six weeks for domestic delivery.
