Matthew Harvey, who earned his PhD in Political Science with a focus on environmental political theory in spring 2023, was recently featured in the Colorado Arts and Sciences Magazine. Matthew was interviewed as part of the article, 鈥淧ale Blue Dot or Bust?鈥� regarding his views on the topic of 鈥渁nthropocentrism,鈥� the idea that humanity is exceptional or central in the universe. A chapter of his dissertation challenged this view and was later adapted and published as a paper, titled 鈥淭he Sublime and the Pale Blue Dot: Reclaiming the Cosmos for Earthly Nature鈥� in the publication听Environmental Values.
