Move-in & Fall Welcome 2024

蜜桃传媒破解版下载 will welcome back thousands of students and families to campus this month. Credentialed members of the media are invited to a media availability covering fall move-in and Fall Welcome events from 6听a.m. to noon on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024. Please see details and story ideas below.

Who: Credentialed media

What: Media will have the opportunity to interview campus spokespeople about move-in, Fall Welcome events and the fall semester ahead. They can also collect photos and video of students moving in at that time.

If you would like an interview for use in broadcast or print prior to 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, a spokesperson is available for interviews by appointment this week. Email cunews@colorado.edu for arrangements.

Interviewing students

  • Reporters are encouraged to speak with any consenting students, family and others during move-in and Fall Welcome events.听
  • Media members are prohibited from entering residence halls without prior permission from Strategic Media Relations, even if a student invites you in.
  • Contact Strategic Media Relations before visiting campus to request residence hall permission.

Traffic impacts

  • The move-in process is spread out over several days and is based on student selected move-in appointments. This eases the moving process for students and lessens the traffic impact in and around Boulder. People driving to or around Boulder should expect increased traffic throughout the week of Aug. 19.听
  • Reporters and photographers should allow extra time to arrive on campus and locate parking.
  • Members of the public should be advised that US-36, Baseline Road, Broadway and Arapahoe Avenue in the areas around campus often have additional traffic throughout the move-in process.
  • Families are encouraged to use the 鈥渕ove-in鈥 layer of the campus map. Families are advised to approach campus from the east via Baseline Road. 听
  • Big box stores (e.g. Target at 28th and Pearl Streets) and grocery stores near campus can also be busier than usual as students pick up furniture or stock up on groceries and other essential items.听

Fall Welcome events will be open to first-year and transfer students. Select events will be open to all 蜜桃传媒破解版下载 students. The full Fall Welcome event schedule can be found here.听

  • Hill Welcome: Aug.听17, 1-4 p.m., Beach Park, 1280 Euclid Ave
  • East Aurora Welcome: Aug.听18, 2024 1pm to 4pm, Aurora and 28th

  • Aug. 29, 6 p.m., Folsom Field
  • Game will air on ESPN

Pearl Street Stampede

  • Aug. 28 at 7 p.m., then the night before home football games
  • Starts at 1300 block of Pearl Street (in front of the County Courthouse). The Stampede moves west, stopping on each block of the Pearl Street Mall To perform.
