Takács Quartet Inducted into Gramophone Hall of Fame
Gramophone, the world’s authority on classical music, in preparation for its 90th birthday celebration, has selected 50 names to be the first inductees into The Gramophone Hall of Fame. Among these 50 names are only two ensembles, one of them being ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ very own Takács Quartet.
To give an idea of the caliber of inductee, the list was headed by a quintet of artists who have, at different times, made a huge impact on recorded music: the conductors Herbert von Karajan, Claudio Abbado,Wilhelm Furtwängler and Leonard Bernstein, and the soprano Maria Callas.
