Alec grew up in Erie, Colorado. He graduated in May of 2018 with a B.S. in Chemical and Biological Engineering and has since continued working in the Marshak lab. His research interests consist of ligand design and synthesis along with investigating the nature of iron and copper cross-coupling catalysis. He one day hopes to eat a stack of pancakes as tall as himself.聽
