Break information

Spring Break | March 22-30, 2025
- All residence halls, including Bear Creek and Weber Hall will remain open for spring break. There will be limited dining, transportation and front desk hours.
Fall Break | Nov. 24 – Nov. 28, 2025
- All residence halls, including Bear Creek and Weber Hall will remain open for fall break. There will be limited dining, transportation and front desk hours.
Winter Break | Dec. 13, 2025 – Jan. 6, 2026
- Residence halls close at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13. All students must vacate by that time.
- Bear Creek, Weber Hall and students with an Academic Year + Breaks contract living in Reed Hall may remain through the break.
Spring break checklist
Before departing for spring break, please ensure:
- If you are leaving for break, remember to take items that you are no longer using home with you to make yourÌýmove out easier in May
- Windows are closed and locked
- Window shades are closed
- Take any perishable foods with you
- Trash/recycling taken to the trash/recycling bin
- Lights off
- Doors completely closed and securedÌý
Departure checklistÌý
Before departing for break, please ensure:
- If you are a first-year student who is returning for the spring semester you need to fill out the First-year release petition in the MyCULiving portal
- Fill out the Intent to Vacate form found in the MyCULiving portal
- Windows are closed and locked
- Window blinds are closed
- Electrical appliances are unplugged (residence hall students only)
- Micro-fridges are cleaned and set to low (residence hall students only)
- All food and perishable items have been removed from the room
- Trash and recycling is removed from the building
- Personal items such as laptops and textbooks are removed from in front of heating units and from floorÌý
- Heaters set on low
- Lights turned off
- Room door completely closed and locked\To help prevent theft, it is recommended that students store personal bikes in their room during breaks, if space is available and it does not block exits
