Plasticity in Recognition, lncRNA Biology
I study聽several RNA-protein interactions that are crucial for appropriate biological function.聽Defining these interactions聽allows us to better understand聽the molecular mechanisms that govern these important biological processes. In an effort to identify nucleotides and residues important at these interfaces,聽I employ various molecular biology and biochemical聽techniques such as recombinant聽protein purification, in vitro聽transcription and RNA purification, gel shifts, and RNA footprinting.
Other interests:聽When not in lab, Meagan likes to play soccer and softball, listen聽to music, and binge-watch Netflix shows such as Shameless and BoJack Horseman.聽
