Multiple faculty positions in "Soft Materials"

The College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for two tenure-line faculty positions beginning fall 2018. We are particularly interested in candidates with demonstrated strong research experience in soft materials. This is a broad and interdisciplinary search and the College seeks exceptional candidates in the synthesis, characterization, imaging, modeling and/or application of soft materials and soft material systems. The search spans all application domains and successful candidates will be placed in suitable home departments within the College. Candidates must clearly indicate their areas of relevant research expertise in their cover letters.

Candidates are expected to complement and strengthen existing college research or develop new high-impact research directions.  Candidates are also expected to demonstrate an ability or record of excellence working with and contributing to a climate that attracts and supports students of all races, nationalities and genders. The College鈥檚 vision of successful candidates includes an earned doctorate in Engineering or a closely related science field, a significant commitment to scholarship, the potential to develop an externally funded research program, and ability to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in engineering. One position is at the assistant professor level, and the other position is at the associate or full professor level.

Interested persons should apply by January 15, 2018, through the CU Careers and submit electronic files (pdf format) containing a cover letter, curriculum vita, two-page statements of research and teaching interests, respectively, and the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of at least three references.

Review of applications will begin as they are received, and will continue until the positions are filled. Additional information regarding the College of Engineering search process as well as our research and academic programs can be found at .
