Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (TA) Positions

Are you interested in being an undergraduate Teaching Assistant (TA) for an ENVD class? We hire numerous TA鈥檚 each semester, primarily for our introductory studio courses and large lectures.

What do TA鈥檚 do?
TA's perform a variety of tasks under the direction/supervision of a faculty member. Depending on the course structure, individual faculty preferences, and semester timeline, tasks may vary. Some TA duties may include: objectively grading assignments using a faculty member's rubric (multiple choice, etc.), answering questions from students about the coursework, demonstrating certain technical skills (software, etc.), leading group discussions, and holding office hours to aid students in assignments.

To be eligible, applicants:

  • Must have already completed and passed the course they want to TA for
  • Be able to attend all the classes (no scheduling conflicts with another class)
  • Be enrolled in at least six credit hours during the semester they will TA
  • Be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Preference is given to those with a GPA of 3.0 or higher but all are welcome to apply

What is the pay?
Most TA鈥檚 are paid $16/hour, but TA鈥檚 for ENVD 1002, 1012, and 1022 are paid $18/hour. All TA鈥檚 can work up to five hours a week.
