Inclusive Teaching and Pedagogy

The College of Engineering and Applied Science has formed a collaboration with the School of Education to create a space for faculty, staff and students of both organizations to engage in conversations, practice and action centered on issues that live at the intersections of equity, inclusion and education.

This is intended to be a community of learners committed to examining the cognitive, political, relational, cultural and ethical dimensions of education, particularly in relation to learning in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM).

Our overarching goal is to improve inclusive teaching and pedagogy in the College of Engineering and Applied Science and the School of Education. Our two main objectives are:

  1. Inspire more people to learn how to use inclusive teaching strategies to make learning experiences meaningful and valuable to students.

  2. Cultivate a community of learners where participants can share ideas, questions, and resources as we learn with and from each other.
