Former CU-Boulder student body tri-executive听Richard Murray听(PolSci, Phil鈥04, Law鈥07) and his wife听Elizabeth Janusz Murray听(Psych鈥07) welcomed their son, Cayden Michael Murray, on Dec. 11. Richard made a lateral move to the law firm of Polsinelli Shugart in Denver, a large national firm with more than 600 lawyers, where he provides clients with general business counseling and assists in business, construction and commercial litigation matters. Richard also was elected as fellow of the Colorado Bar Foundation and chairman of the University Club of Denver鈥檚 committee on admissions.

The American Political Science Association named听Erica Chenoweth听(MPolSci鈥04, PhD鈥07) winner of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation Award as the co-author of her book听Why Civil Resistance Works. The award is given annually for the best book on government, politics or international affairs.The book examines factors that enable nonviolent resistance campaigns to succeed and, sometimes, fail.Erica is an assistant professor at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver and an associate senior researcher at the Peace Research Institute of Oslo.

After reaching out to all 32 NFL teams,听Patrick Gleason听(Comm鈥04) landed a job as public and media relations manager for the Baltimore Ravens, the 2013 Super Bowl Champions. CU-Boulder professor emeritus of civil, environmental and architectural engineering听Kenneth Strzepek听(MEcon鈥04) has spent 30 years as a researcher and practitioner of engineering, environmental and economic systems. His research primarily relates to water resource planning and management, river basin planning and modeling of water resources systems. Ken lives in Lexington, Mass., and serves as a research scientist in the MIT Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change.

Virginia Tech engineer听Chao Wang听(PhDElEngr鈥04) received a three-year Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Program grant of up to $510,000. He will develop methods and software tools that detect security vulnerabilities in concurrent software running on a modern multi-core computer. Chao is an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at Virginia Tech. The dean of the engineering college named him the 鈥淥utstanding New Assistant Professor.鈥 Chao lives in Blacksburg, Va.

At Lockheed Martin,听Davin Anderson听(MechEngr, MS鈥04) works as electrical test conductor for MAVEN, the $671-million mission to Mars that launched last November. He does planning, implementing, testing and documenting of the MAVEN subsystems and systems. He also solves hardware and software interface problems, defines input and output parameters and ensures integration of the entire MAVEN spacecraft. He lives in Colorado Springs and serves on the CU-Boulder Engineering Grads of the Last Decade (GOLD) board.

Photographer听Brian Peterson听(EnvSt, Geol鈥04) co-created Photohoku to help disaster-plagued families restart their photo albums that were lost in the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in March 2011. A Tokyo resident of 10 years, he and teams of professional photographers visited families who lost their photos in the tsunami-ravaged regions and helped them start new albums by making family portraits on instant film. After the tornadoes hit Oklahoma last spring, Brian started Photoklahoma. Brian lives in Tokyo with his wife and family.

Working as the 鈥渂ox girl鈥 for the Standard Hotel on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood required听Lilibet Snellings听(Jour鈥04) to sit in a giant glass box behind the hotel鈥檚 concierge desk for up to seven hours at a time. She wrote a book about her experience,听Box Girl: My Part-Time Job as an Art Installation. The book has been featured in the Los Angeles Times and LA Weekly, and made Harper鈥檚 Bazaar鈥檚 鈥淗ot List.鈥 While at CU-Boulder, Lilibet ran cross-country under coach Mark Wetmore.
