Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Student Chapter Meeting with AMES Construction on Tuesday, October 26th!

Ames Construction is among the 20 largest self-performing highway heavy contractors in the US. In addition to information about Ames Construction, our guest, Dave Matheson, will discuss similarities and differences between the Heavy (horizontal) and Building (vertical) construction worlds.  For those exploring the many career options under the Civil and Architectural Engineering umbrella, this may be a valuable session.

WTS fosters the development of women in the transportation field by encouraging students and new professionals to undertake careers in the transportation field. One way it does this is by awarding scholarships to women pursuing studies in a transportation or related fields.

For 2022, WTS Colorado will be awarding the following 6 scholarships:

• Two $5,000 awards granted to two graduate students
• Two $4,000 awards granted to two undergraduate students.
