Michael VatikiotisÌýisÌýa Singapore based writer and journalist. He’s the author of many books and articles, most recently,ÌýBlood and Silk: Power and Conflict in Modern Southeast Asia.ÌýÌýHe currently heads the Asia program of the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue.
Yang YangÌýis a postdoc researcher at the Asia Research Institute at the National University of Singapore. Her research looks at transnational Islamic networks between China and Southeast Asia.
Ben DooleyÌýreports on Japan’s business and economy for The New York Times. He has covered Asia for nearly a decade, starting as a reporter in Washington and Beijing for Japan's Kyodo News before later joining Agence France-Presse in China.
